Kandiyohi County Jail Visitation
Kandiyohi County Jail uses video visitation for inmate visits. Friends and family register through TEAM3.INMATECANTEEN.COM and need an email address and ID number. Remote visits from home cost $0.39 per minute, can last up to 30 minutes, and are allowed every 8 hours. Lobby station visits are free for 30 minutes, with a local restriction that lobby visits are not available Friday after 4:30 p.m.

Visitors and inmates must be appropriately dressed at jail supervisor discretion. Children must be supervised and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Only registered visitors may use cameras or booths. Current valid IDs are required, and persons on probation need signed permission or approval from a probation officer before visits.
Security screening is part of the visit process. People requesting admission to the facility or visitation area are subject to inspection of belongings and metal scan search, and refusal means no admission. Firearms and weapons are prohibited. Electronic devices such as cell phones, pagers, and radios are also prohibited in secure areas. Consular officials may meet detained nationals at any time with prior arrangements requested, and clergy visits require prior arrangements with the chaplain or programs department. All visitors must complete the PREA Verification form before visiting with any inmate.
Kandiyohi County Inmate Mail and Money
Inmate mail should use the inmate name and the jail address: inmate name, 2201 23rd ST NE Suite 101, Willmar, MN 56201. Money by mail must be a money order or cashier's check. All inmate mail is screened daily except legal mail. ICE detainee mail must include the last four digits of the A-number plus the sender name and address, and detainees are cautioned not to have cash sent in mail.
Money can be deposited at the jail entrance kiosk, which accepts bills only and no coins. Funds are applied to the inmate account immediately. Money can also be placed online at www.inmatecanteen.com. The jail warns not to use the Communications Account if the sender wants funds to go directly to the inmate account. Kandiyohi County Inmate Phone Access
Phone prepayment can be set up through Securus at 1-800-844-6591, www.securustech.net, or www.inmatecanteen.com. Inmates may buy phone cards through canteen. The jail allows a limited number of text messages so inmates can secure funds for additional text messaging, and money can be placed on text messaging accounts through Reliance Telephone. The facility also uses tablets, and non-confidential messages can be sent through Securus.
Families should separate ordinary contact from legal contact. Non-confidential tablet messages and regular phone calls are service-provider communications.
